community hero Del Martin

The Task Force mourns the death of Del Martin, who died Aug. 27 at the age of 87. Martin married Phyllis Lyon, her partner of 55 years, on June 16, 2008. In 1955, the couple co-founded the Daughters of Bilitis, the first lesbian rights organization in the nation. Read more.
